Questions
How does it work without uploading?
The page loads a PDF reader (pdf.js) into your browser. When you drop a file, the reader extracts the text on your device and the converter builds the transaction table locally. CSV and Excel files are created in the browser too. Nothing about your file is sent to our server.
Can I use it offline after the page loads?
Mostly. You need a connection to load the page (and the Excel writer the first time you download Excel), but the conversion itself runs on your device and doesn’t contact our server.
Do you store anything?
Your statement and its transactions are never stored, because they never leave your browser. During the free beta we don’t keep page counts or any record of your conversions.
Is it safe for business statements?
The file is handled the same way for any statement: it’s read in your browser and never uploaded, and nothing about it reaches our server during the free beta. Whether that meets your company’s data policy is your call, so check with whoever sets those rules.
Why does the first Excel download load a file?
The first time you download Excel, the page loads our spreadsheet library from this same site. No statement data is sent; your file is still read and converted only in your browser.
