Questions
Does my Chase statement get uploaded anywhere?
No. Your Chase PDF is opened and read by JavaScript in your own browser, and the file never leaves your device. During the free beta, nothing about your file or its transactions is sent to our server.
Which Chase statements work (checking, savings, credit card)?
Text-based Chase PDF statements with a transaction table (date, description and amount, often with a running balance) are what the tool reads, including checking and savings statements. Credit card statements with a similar table may work too. Layouts vary, so check the rows in the preview table against your statement before downloading. Scanned copies aren’t supported yet. RowSmith is not affiliated with Chase.
How do I download my statement PDF from Chase online banking?
Sign in to Chase online banking on a computer or in the app, open the account, and look for its statements or documents section. Pick the statement period you want and download or save it as a PDF, then drop that file into the converter above. The exact menu names can change, so check Chase’s own help pages if you can’t find it. RowSmith is not affiliated with Chase.
What if my Chase PDF is a scanned image?
Scanned or photographed statements have no text layer, and RowSmith does not support them yet. If a file looks scanned, the tool says so instead of guessing. Download the original PDF from Chase online banking instead, since statements downloaded directly are usually text-based.
Why does the first Excel download load a file?
The first time you download Excel, the page loads our spreadsheet library from this same site. No statement data is sent; your file is still read and converted only in your browser.
