Questions
Which banks are supported?
The tool isn’t tied to a list of banks. It reads text-based PDF statements with a transaction table: dates, descriptions, amounts, and often a running balance. Some layouts may not be recognized yet, and if no transactions are found the tool tells you. RowSmith is not affiliated with any bank.
Is it really private?
No. Your PDF is opened and read by JavaScript in your own browser, and the file never leaves your device. During the free beta, nothing about your file or its transactions is sent to our server. You can check this yourself in your browser’s network tab while converting.
What does the free plan include?
RowSmith is free while in beta, with no account and no page limit. Every export layout is included: standard CSV or Excel plus the QuickBooks, Xero and YNAB layouts. A Pro plan at $12/month is coming soon.
How do I cancel the paid plan?
The paid plan isn’t available yet. Pro is planned at $12/month, and this answer will be updated with cancellation details when it launches.
Why does the first Excel download load a file?
The first time you download Excel, the page loads our spreadsheet library from this same site. No statement data is sent; your file is still read and converted only in your browser.
RowSmith is an independent tool and is not affiliated with any bank.
